(Canadian, 20th C.) Trudi and Karen met and discovered mutual creative interests. They decided to share a studio space, which led to the first "nesters". The design of their nesting tables was inspired by an antique set, which they carefully have built to replicate the integrity of the original in form, function, and beauty. They have a master cabinetmaker of the European tradition build end table nests from fine kiln dried hard wood. The tables have mitered corners, biscuit joinery and the legs are tapered on four sides. When the tables are nested together they form a pattern, which can be seen through the glass tops. The tables are hand painted in colorful patterns using hand mixed pure pigments and finished with a wear resistant lacquer. Custom colors and patterns are available upon request. . MORE »

CODE FLAGS
Hand painted burgundy nesting tables with code flags accented with Admiral gold pinstriped legs by Karen Hooper and Trudi Curley. Code flags spell nautical words and can be custom designed. Each nest is crafted out of kiln dried hard wood. The tables have mitered corners, biscuit jointery and the legs are tapered on four sides. When the tables are nested together they form a pattern, which can be seen through the glass top. The interior tables nest on runners and slide in and out easily, which prevents the legs from scraping the carpet or floor. Colors are hand mixed using pure pigment and wear-resistant finish. Custom designs and color are available.
